I've backweighted a few with lead tape. Problem is it takes alot of lead tape. Just have to cut about 3 inch strips and put them inside the shaft.
It is cheaper and it will work just as weel but it's not adjustable. However, once you get it the right weight then that doesn't matter. If you search google you can find different weight kits. Some of them can be added to an existing grip by drilling a hole in the end once the grip is installed. Others come with a drip pre-installed. Good luck. Once you do this you can't putt with a putter without it. It makes the hands really stable as you swing the putter.

Fantastic video guys. Never knew you could use an wedge shaft to extend a putter like that. What would you use to extend iron shafts or even graphite? Would you use epoxy for those clubs on the extension? Canadan You Are Great. OITW said:. I figured I would have to put a whole new shaft in. PapaJohick ShortKnockerBombs. Great video dan. Or do I just get my old putter extended by 2 inches?? And if so how and where?? Any help and advice is appreciated thanks T. Joined Jul 13, Messages 4, Location Kent.
Not necessarily, I play standard length iron but my putter is 32 which is shorter than off the shelf putters. You should be more over the ball when putting so your eyes are over the ball. You can check by setting up your putting stance then drop a ball from your nose and it should hit the ball on the floor. Get your pro to check your set up. SammmeBee Journeyman Pro May 20, If you add a bit on at the grip end ideally you should be able to make the club longer Maninblack Tour Winner May 20, Just because you're 6'6" doesn't mean you need longer clubs.
By making them longer you've completely changed the swingweight, carefully calculated by the manufacturer. The proper length of a club depends on the wrist to floor measurement. When we stand with our hands by our sides their floor to wrist measurements are the same. Mine, because of my very short legs, is about 2" shorter. As has already been said, there's no need to lengthen a putter.
